From: Vladimir Sovetov <sova@arf.ru>
NoDoz - trade name of Caffeine tablets, that acts as a central nervous system (CNS) or brain stimulant, increasing alertness in people who are tired or sleepy. Can be obtained without a prescription. That's a great news cose you really need some while driving big shiny American truck through the starless Utah night

o' de blue-collar community!
From: "Dennis Guertin" <dguertin@guertin.com>
"Slingin' hash" is a waitress job. "Hash" as far as I know it is ground up leftover meat and whatever else is lying around (cooked poatoes, etc) which is fried up again for a second meal. Ate a lot of it as a kid.
Blue collar would refer to the "common working man" and opposed to "white collar", or managment.

WHITE LINE FEVER. Something that can't be cured by NoDoz?
From: Patrick Neve <splat@darkwing.uoregon.edu>
Double meaning here, a truckers itch for going back out on the road is sometimes described as white-line fever. Whether tor not they have a penchant for nose drugs is immaterial.

Breaker-breaker! Git down wit de 'come-back!
From: "Dennis Guertin" <dguertin@guertin.com>
This is CB radio talk. "Breaker-breaker" is the call used to (possibly) interrupt a conversation between two other folks and request use of the radio frequency they are using. One would find the person you're looking for by broadcasting on this general frequency and then the two of you would agree to switch to another band. These folks sometimes chat on the general frequencies when they're not too busy.

Sleepy wimp seek lastin' relationship
wit anally-oriented '
luminum sidin' salesman!
From: Patrick Neve <splat@darkwing.uoregon.edu>
Aluminum house siding was a american scam in the 1950's. Travelling salesmen, also known as "Tin Men", were notorious for abusing the trust of little old ladies and guillable suburban folks that they would recieve a commission for every set of siding sold to their neighbors. Thinking their siding would be paid for, many people didn't think twice about paying exhorbanant fees for what was purported to be the ultimate siding, and later turned out not to be, and losing lots of money in the process. See the movie "Tin Men".
